Better utilizing female talent makes business sense. The Catalyst “Bottom Line Study” performed in 2004 and 2007 among Fortune 500 companies demonstrated a positive correlation between high levels of representation of women in executive roles and superior competitive financial performance.

Leading Women Executives is offered by Corporate Leadership Center (CLC), which was founded by Cheryl Francis and Sheila Penrose in 2002 to advance the practice of leadership. Its initial program, CEO Perspectives, is a highly successful business-academic forum for C-suite executives.

The program curriculum for Leading Women Executives integrates the perspectives of CEO’s and top business leaders along with the research and insights of leading academics on gender and the organization.  Deborah Kolb, Simmons School of Management Professor of Women's Leadership (Emerita), is an academic advisor to the program.
